Johnson: Another Christie Healthcare Veto Hurts NJ Families

(TRENTON)- Assemblyman Gordon Johnson (D-Bergen) issued the following statement on the Governor’s veto of his legislation (A-2576) that would have provided Medicaid coverage for family planning services to individuals with incomes up to 200 percent of the federal poverty level:

“To veto expanded healthcare for families below the poverty level is absolutely shameful.
“The healthcare of New Jersey’s women and children are not a priority for the Governor as he travels cross country for the benefit of his political allies and his future aspirations.”
“This veto is another failure of this administration to help those who need it the most.”
