(Trenton) – Assemblyman Gordon Johnson (D-Bergen) issued the following statement lauding the state Department of Transportation’s announcement to repave the pothole-plagued Palisade Interstate Parkway:
“It has been a long-time coming for repairs to Palisades Parkway.
“The road has taken an especially hard beating this winter with its harsh storms and weather conditions. Now is the time to repair Palisades Parkway before it becomes any more of an obstacle course for commuters.
“The repaving will take some time, but I am sure commuters will be pleased to learn relief is coming. The DOT Commissioner has made a good decision.”
