(TRENTON) – Assemblyman Gordon Johnson (D-Bergen) issued the following statement supporting Speaker Prieto and his efforts to look out for public employees and residents as part of the Atlantic City takeover proposal:
“Atlantic City residents are counting on the Governor to do the right thing here.
“Enough of the tough talk and the political grandstanding, let’s meet at the table and figure out what is best for Atlantic City.
“We cannot leave the voice of public employees and city residents out of this discussion.
“As the members of legislature and the Governor, it is our obligation to look at all sides of an issue and take necessary action in the best interest of citizens of New Jersey. No more stalling.”
