Johnson Statement on Joint Committee Hearing Regarding New Jersey’s Economic Strategies

In response to today’s joint hearing by the Assembly Commerce and Economic Development and Senate Economic Growth Committees to examine economic strategies in New Jersey, Assemblyman Gordon Johnson (D-Bergen) released the following statement:

“Today we had an opportunity to take a closer look at how New Jersey’s economy is operating, and how we can implement policies and programs to foster growth. The expert testimony we heard from leaders in business and higher education will help us develop best practices for attracting businesses to New Jersey; build and strengthen partnerships between companies and institutions of higher education; train our workforce to meet the demands of the business community; allow communities to participate in development; and create and promote job and business growth. Our main objective is to let companies, big and small, know that New Jersey is open for business.”
