(VOORHEES) — Assembly Higher Education Committee Chairwoman Pamela R. Lampitt Friday issued the following statement on Governor Christie’s Executive Order establishing the Governor’s Higher Education Task Force:
“I applaud the Governor for establishing this task force and I am hopeful we can work together on the critically important issue of higher education in our state.
“There is much work to be done to ensure New Jersey’s students have the opportunity to get a first-rate college education that is both accessible and affordable. Many of the issues that the governor’s task force will consider dovetail with issues the Higher Education Committee has worked on in recent years.
“The future needs to be bright for higher education in New Jersey and I look forward to working with members of the Higher Education Committee, Governor Kean and the governor’s task force to ensure it is.”
