McKeon Response to Christie on Hudson River Rail Tunnel

(27th LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT) – Assembly Judiciary Chairman John McKeon (D-Essex/Morris), who is helping lead the joint legislative inquiry into NJ Transit woes, released the following Tuesday in response to Gov. Christie’s earlier statement:
“Gov. Chris Christie’s selfish political ambitions are the reason we’re not six months from a third tunnel, instead of 10 years away.
“The temerity to try and take a bow for funding that’s far from a certainty thanks to President Trump is an outrage, but not a surprise.
“The next 10 years at least will be fraught with inconveniences to commuters, disrupting their family lives as a continued reminder of the Christie/Guadagno transportation legacy.
“As to Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen, he has many more billions to go to make amends for his healthcare vote.”
