McKnight Receives Award for Advocacy in Hudson County

In recognition of her service to her community, Assemblywoman Angela McKnight (D-Hudson) was inducted into the Hudson County Chamber’s 12th Class of Legends and received the Daryl Harrison Rand Award last month.

McKnight was honored for her leadership and advocacy in Hudson County as an Assemblywoman and founder and CEO of AngelaCARES Inc., a nonprofit working to provide support for senior citizens and their caregivers, as well as mentor youth.

“It’s very humbling to receive this recognition,” said McKnight. “Everything I do is rooted in my belief that our communities grow stronger when we all work together. I’m proud of the work we’ve done to make Hudson County a better place to live. My congratulations to 12th Class of Legends, including Linda Bowden, New Jersey Regional President of PNC Bank; Joseph F. Brown, President of Hudson Community Enterprises; and Jeanne and Frank Cretella, founders of Landmark Hospitality.”

Over 350 guests attended the event at Liberty Science Center in Jersey City Dec. 12.
