Assemblywoman Britnee Timberlake (D-Essex, Passaic) will hold a press conference to discuss A-3115, legislation recently signed into law by Governor Phil Murphy that mandates the Attorney General to handle the investigation and prosecution of a crime involving death by a law enforcement officer acting in the officer’s official capacity, or while in custody, and for the trial to be held outside of the county where the incident occurred.
