(TRENTON) — On Monday, November 22, Assemblyman Reed Gusciora (D-Princeton) will be hold a news conference about the military’s stop-loss policy to raise awareness for those military service members, veterans, and beneficiaries who are now entitled to compensation.
Under the stop-loss policy, the U.S. Armed Services may extend a service person’s stay well beyond their expected termination date. These military service members are eligible to receive a $500 per month stop-loss bonus.
The following is a statement by Assemblyman Gusciora:

I am encouraging the New Jersey men and women who have honorably served our country to take advantage of these benefits before the December 3rd deadline.
I also commend our New Jersey Senator, Frank Lautenberg, for all of his efforts in extending the federal deadline to receive compensation.”
Assemblyman Gusciora will be joined by other members of the Legislature, members of the VFW, Brigadier General James Grant, Colonel John Scannell and a representative for Senator Frank Lautenberg.
