***MEDIA ADVISORY — MONDAY*** TRANSPORTATION PANEL TO INVESTIGATE SNOW REMOVAL BREAKDOWN AFTER POST-CHRISTMAS STORM

(TRENTON) — The Assembly Transportation, Public Works and Independent Authorities Committee will hold a hearing Monday to investigate the breakdown in state snow removal services that occurred following the monster Dec. 26 storm that dumped upwards of three feet of snow in the central part of the state.

The Assembly Transportation, Public Works and Independent Authorities Committee is scheduled to meet Monday, January 24 at 10 a.m. in Committee Room 11, State House Annex, Trenton.

The panel has invited individuals from the following state agencies to testify: the state Department of Transportation; the New Jersey Turnpike Authority; the South Jersey Transportation Authority; the New Jersey State Police; the state Division on Highway Traffic Safety; and NJ Transit
