***MONDAY ADVISORY *** ASSEMBLY HIGHER EDUCATION PANEL TO DISCUSS ECONOMIC IMPACT OF HIGHER ED WITH COLLEGE HEADS

(TRENTON) – In light of the continuing effects of the economic recession and New Jersey’s projected budgetary problems, Pamela R. Lampitt (D-Camden), chairwoman of the Assembly Higher Education Committee, has invited members of the higher ed community to testify on the positive economic impact colleges have on New Jersey.

The Assembly panel has invited representatives of the Presidents’ Council, independent colleges, state colleges and community colleges to submit testimony.

The Assembly Higher Education Committee is scheduled to meet 10 a.m. Monday, February 8, Committee Room 15, 4th Floor, State House Annex, Trenton.
