***MONDAY ADVISORY*** Senate, Assembly Environment Committees to Host Joint Hearing on Progress of Sandy Rebuilding Efforts

Residents Impacted by Hurricane Sandy Encouraged to Attend; Provide Insight into Pace of Rebuilding Efforts as Storm’s One Year Anniversary Approaches

(JERSEY CITY) — The Senate Environment and Energy Committee and the Assembly Environment and Solid Waste Committee will hold a joint hearing Monday to take testimony from members of the public on the progress of Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts in the state.

The joint committee hearing is scheduled to take place 7p.m. Monday, September 16, 2013 in the Jersey City Council Chambers, Jersey City Hall, 280 Grove Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302.

The Senate committee is chaired by Senator Bob Smith (D-Middlesex) and the Assembly committee is chaired by Assemblywoman L. Grace Spencer (D-Essex).

Members of the public are encouraged to attend and testify on their personal experiences with recovery efforts in the wake of the most devastating storm to hit New Jersey.
