Press Conference Scheduled After Vote on Measure Calling for Stronger Federal Intervention
Assembly Democratic members John McKeon, Mila Jasey and Linda Stender will hold a press conference along with statewide activists on Monday to urge the federal government for stronger intervention to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.
The press conference is scheduled for Monday, May 9, 2011, in room 109 across from the Assembly Chambers on the first floor of the Statehouse immediately following the Assembly’s vote on Concurrent Resolution 173.
The resolution sponsors will be joined by activists from groups such as “No Nukes for Iran,” the Stop Iran Taskforce and MetroWest’s “Stop Iran Now” campaign, including a number of high school students who have lobbied the lawmakers for action.
