MORIARTY: CHRISTIE RACE TO TOP ERROR ‘APPALLING AND INEXCUSABLE’

(4th LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT) – Assembly Education Committee member Paul Moriarty (D-Gloucester/Camden) released the following statement Wednesday on the Christie’s administration Race to Top application error that cost the state $400 million in education funding:

“This is an appalling and inexcusable mistake that will cost taxpayers and children alike. “A gaffe this terrible on something this important to New Jersey’s children is, quite simply, inconceivable.
“New Jersey’s taxpayers deserve a complete and honest explanation from Gov. Christie as to how this happened and details on what he will do to avoid incompetence like this in the future.”
