Assemblyman Paul Moriarty (D-Gloucester/Camden) released the following statement Wednesday on the New Jersey Gaming, Sports, and Entertainment Advisory Commission report:
“This report will require a thorough and careful analysis, but I am pleased to hear the emphasis it places on keeping Atlantic City as New Jersey’s entertainment and gaming focal point. The success of Atlantic City is vital to the state – and especially the South Jersey region – when it comes to economic activity and job creation, and we must be focusing our efforts on ensuring it remains a top flight destination.
“We know we face new pressures from competition in other states, but that’s all the more reason to put our full attention on making Atlantic City as great as we can. I look forward to the upcoming legislative review of these proposals and keeping Atlantic City a premier gaming locale.”
