(TRENTON) – Assemblywomen Linda R. Greenstein (D-Middlesex), L. Grace Spencer (D-Essex), Valerie Vainieri Huttle (D-Bergen) and Dr. Joan M. Voss (D-Bergen) today issued a multimedia package on a five-bill package they sponsored to help curtail domestic violence in New Jersey.
The package includes the following bills:
A-4363 (Greenstein) – Establishes the “Domestic Violence Victim Protection Plan”;
A-4364 (Greenstein) – Adds criminal coercion to offenses that may constitute domestic violence;
A-4365 (Spencer) – Creates self-defense justification for victims of domestic violence;
A-4366 (Vainieri Huttle) – Provides rental and lease protections for domestic violence victims; and
A-4367 (Voss) – Increases sentences and imposes bail restrictions on persons who violate domestic violence restraining orders under certain circumstances.
The multimedia package consists of a video on the bill package, audio of the same and a press release on the package’s passage by the Assembly.
