Annual Event Honors POW-MIA Survivors & Families; Highlights State and National Efforts to Account for POW-MIA’s of All Wars

(CINNAMINSON) — Assemblyman Herb Conaway, M.D. (D-Burlington/Camden) issued a multimedia package Wednesday documenting the 10th Annual POW-MIA Remembrance Ceremony.

The annual breakfast, held on the national POW-MIA day of recognition — traditionally the third Friday of September — honors the commitments and sacrifices made by New Jersey’s and the nation’s prisoners of war and those who are still missing in action.

According to Conaway, who took stewardship of the event this year from his recently retired district mate, the ceremony serves as an enduring reminder of the promise made by the nation on behalf of all prisoners of war and missing in action: that we will not rest until they are all accounted for and brought home.

The multimedia package consists of a video documentary of the breakfast and audio of same. A portion of this year’s video was provided courtesy of Sue Quinn-Morris of the New Jersey chapter of the POW-MIA Awareness Committee.

The video can be accessed directly via our website — www.assemblydems.com — or by clicking here.

The audio file is available upon request.
