***MULTIMEDIA PACKAGE*** Excerpts of Speaker Prieto from NJ Working Families Newser on Comprehensive Economic Agenda to Help Families Statewide

(TRENTON) — This video press release excerpts Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto’s (D-Hudson) comments during a Working Families Alliance news conference calling for action on a comprehensive economic policy agenda for state families that includes the current proposal to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour as well as a coordinated effort to fight wage theft, pay inequality, and unfair scheduling practices.

New Jersey’s current minimum wage is $8.38, or just over $17,400 for a full time worker. Even with a proposed increase, countless workers stand to be cut out of a beneficial increase due to the propensity of wage theft, pay inequality and unfair practices that hurt working families.

The multimedia package consists of the Speaker’s excerpted commentary and audio of same.
