(TRENTON) — Assembly Speaker Sheila Y. Oliver (D-Essex), Senate President Stephen M. Sweeney (D-Gloucester) and Assembly Budget Committee Chairman Louis D. Greenwald (D-Camden) on Friday issued a multimedia package in which they announce an agreement to tackle arbitration reform in New Jersey.
The legislation (A-3393) would revise the state’s arbitration system by requiring that an emphasis be placed on protecting taxpayers. The measure was released from the Assembly Budget Committee Thursday, by a vote of 7 to 4. Speaker Oliver plans to bring the measure before the full General Assembly Monday.
