(TRENTON) — Assemblywoman Linda Stender (D-Union) and Senator Loretta Weinberg (D-Bergen) issued a multimedia package Tuesday on their efforts to secure the votes needed to successfully override Gov. Chris Christie’s veto of their legislation (S-2139/A-3019) that would have restored $7.5 million in women’s healthcare funding in this year’s budget.

During a State House news conference, the legislators contested the governor’s claim that veto was made purely for budgetary reasons and promised to continue their efforts to collect enough votes to override the veto.

The multimedia package consists of a video of the news conference, audio of same, a PowerPoint presentation given at the beginning of the event, and a press release from the legislators, describing their veto override efforts in more detail.

The video can be accessed directly via our website — www.assemblydems.com — or by clicking here.

The audio file is available upon request.

The press release can be found on either www.assemblydems.com or www.njsendems.com.
