The multimedia package consists of a video of Vainieri Huttle’s comments and audio and a transcript of same.

The video can be accessed directly via our website — www.assemblydems.com — or by clicking here.

The audio file is available upon request.

A transcript of Assemblywoman Vainieri Huttle’s comments is appended below:

Assemblywoman Valerie Vainieri Huttle (D-Bergen), Assembly Human Services Chairwoman:
“The governor’s cuts are the harshest cuts that are really a terrific blow to the children of the State of New Jersey; the most vulnerable; the most needy; those that cannot fend for themselves.

“And we, as Democrats, need to help restore these services and look at them long term, because these cuts are short sighted and we need to invest in the future. This is a priority that I feel, as legislators, as public servants, that we need to address.

“This is the future of the state. These kids need our help. And again, they don’t have voices to fend for themselves. We need to be their voice and we need to invest in our kids.”
