OLIVER, CRYAN WISH ASSEMBLYMAN CONNERS WELL UPON ANNOUNCEMENT OF HIS UPCOMING RETIREMENT

Assembly Speaker Sheila Y. Oliver and Majority Leader Joseph Cryan today praised long-time Assemblyman Jack Conners for his years of service and wished him well upon news of his upcoming retirement after the completion of his current term.

“Throughout his entire career in the Assembly, Jack Conners has been a consummate gentleman and a dedicated public servant,” said Oliver (D-Essex/Passaic). “As a veteran of our armed forces, he has fought tirelessly to improve the lives of all active duty and retired military personnel. His dedication will be sorely missed, but we wish him all the best in his retirement.”

“Jack Conners is truly a class act,” said Cryan (D-Union). “It has been a pleasure to work side by side with someone who truly has the best interests of his constituents at heart. I don’t think New Jersey has seen a fiercer advocate for veterans and military personnel. Jack always understood that we owe them a debt of gratitude and he crafted his legislative agenda around trying to repay that gratitude. His retirement is our loss, but we wish him nothing but the best.”
