Christie’s events / Politics or policy?
“Ridiculous.”
“Really? That’s Gov. Chris Christie’s response to a Democratic assemblyman’s claim that the governor’s town hall meetings are partisan political events that shouldn’t be paid for by taxpayers.
“It seems to us like a pretty reasonable question to raise – and pretty hypocritical of Christie to simply dismiss. Virtually everything this governor does is designed to enhance his national image. In fact, the only thing wrong with the question raised by Assemblyman Paul Moriarty, D-Gloucester, is why he focused on the town hall meetings, which are far from the best example of Christie trumpeting his own political fortunes on the New Jersey taxpayers’ dime…”
