(TRENTON) – Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto (D-Bergen/Hudson) released the following statement Tuesday on the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals ruling against sports betting in New Jersey:
“This is another misguided decision and missed opportunity for Atlantic City and our racetracks. Legalizing sports betting would provide a needed boost to our gaming industry and the state’s economy. While I am disappointed by the court’s decision, I am hopeful that this is not the end yet.””
