Quijano Asks Residents to Support Toy & Clothing Drive to Benefit Patients at Trinitas Pediatric Programs

Assemblywoman Annette Quijano (D-Union) is encouraging residents to support a toy and clothing drive benefiting young patients at Trinitas Pediatric Programs in Elizabeth, which will culminate in a Three Kings Day Celebration at the hospital.

“Not all families can afford to have an abundance of gifts under the Christmas tree. In the spirit of Three Kings Day, I’m asking residents to give what they can to help us brighten the day for these children,” said Quijano. “Trinitas Pediatric Programs is an important resource for working families in the area. For those who would like to help in a different way, I ask that you consider making a monetary donation to support the work that they do to keep the children of this community healthy.”

Donations will be presented during the Three Kings Day Celebration, which will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 6 at Trinitas Pediatric Programs located in Grassmann Hall, 655 E. Jersey St., Elizabeth.

This is the sixth year that Quijano is hosting the event.

Organizers are accepting donations of toys and clothes for pediatric patients ages 3 to 18 years old. Unwrapped gifts can be dropped off between December 28 – 30 or January 4 and 5, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at 65 Jefferson Ave., Suite B in Elizabeth.

Monetary donations are also being accepted. Checks should be made out to the “Trinitas Health Foundation” and mailed to Nadine Brechner, Chief Development Officer, Trinitas Health Foundation, P.O. Box 259, Elizabeth, NJ 07207.

Online donations can be made here. When making a donation online, choose “Three Kings Day Celebration” when asked for a company name.

The event is sponsored by Quijano, the New Jersey Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association, the Hispanic Law Enforcement Association of Union County, Hispanos Unidos, and Santa’s Little All Stars.
