Ramos’ ‘New Jersey Economic Opportunity Act’ Signed into Law

(TRENTON) – Assemblyman Ruben J. Ramos Jr. (D-Hudson) released the following statement Wednesday after the job creation bill she sponsored – The New Jersey Economic Opportunity Act of 2013 (A-3680) – was signed into law:

“This is a big step in the right direction toward New Jersey creating more jobs and economic growth. In many ways, our economy has been lagging behind the nation, so this law I sponsored represents a chance to reinvigorate our effort to make our economy stronger.
“This law represents a comprehensive overhaul of the state’s economic incentive programs, and should go a long way toward creating more jobs and sparking economic growth throughout our state, including places that haven’t seen strong economic activity in years.
“No bill is perfect, but this will make our economic development incentive more effective, keep jobs in the state, bring more jobs into New Jersey and boost small businesses. That’s something both businesses and our hard-working families looking to make ends meet can support.”
