(HOBOKEN) – Assemblyman Ruben J. Ramos Jr. (D-Hudson) released the following statement Thursday on plans to look into extending the No. 7 subway line under the Hudson River to Hoboken and Secaucus:
“An improved mass transit system can bring improvements to our quality of life and
economy.
“While there are major hurdles that would need to be overcome to complete the subway extension plan, I applaud the efforts of Mayor Bloomberg in bringing this idea to the public dialogue.
“I hope to see this project come to fruition, especially for the benefit of Hoboken and all Hudson County residents and businesses.
“I am willing to offer whatever help I can to make this a reality.”
