Assembly members Verlina Reynolds-Jackson and Anthony Verrelli issued the following statement on the surge in gun violence in Trenton over the last week:
“We are deeply saddened by the shootings that occurred over the weekend. We must continue exploring ways to lessen senseless gun violence in the city and around the state.”
“We stand with Police Director Coley and the city administration in the wake of these tragic events. We are ready to work with State Police liaisons to the City of Trenton and assist in any way necessary as we look to address these acts of gun violence and bring the perpetrators of these crimes to justice.”
