(TRENTON) – Assembly Budget Committee Chair Gary S. Schaer (D-Bergen/Passaic) issued the following statement on today’s higher education hearing:
“Here is yet another example of a pressing issue facing New Jersey families that is being neglected by the Governor.
“The administration, once again has provided no plan for a rational and cohesive funding formula that would allow all the great colleges and universities in the state, to provide students with the education needed to meet future workforce demands, while keeping tuition affordable and accessible to students.
“I implore the governor to make affordability in higher education a priority before we completely price young people in New Jersey out of a better future.”
