Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin (D-Middlesex) issued the following statement Wednesday following the swearing in of President Joseph R. Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris:
“Congratulations to President Joe Biden, the 46th President of the United States. I look forward to the President bringing unity to our nation. His leadership, vision and respect for America are most welcome and much needed.
“Congratulations to Vice President Kamala Harris who makes history as the first African-American, first Asian-American and first female Vice President.
