Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin (D-Middlesex) issued the following statement today in response to news of AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka’s passing:
“I am saddened to learn of AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka’s sudden passing. A decades-long champion for labor rights and an ally to working families across the country, America’s workers lost a giant today. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who knew him as New Jersey and the nation mourn his loss.”
