Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin (D-Middlesex) released the following statement on the announcement of New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal’s departure to a new appointment as the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Director of the Division of Enforcement:
“I would like to thank General Grewal for his incredibly diligent and dedicated service to the state of New Jersey over these past three and half years. He has represented the voice of New Jersey in countless civil and criminal matters and worked for the people every step of the way. His absence will surely be felt, but I wish him well as he begins a new chapter with the SEC where I am confident he will be an asset and find great success.”
