Speaker Coughlin Statement on Committee Advancing Marijuana Legislation During Monday’s Hearing

(TRENTON) – Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin issued the following statement Monday on the joint Assembly Appropriations Committee and Senate Budget Committee hearing Monday discussing the future of marijuana legislation in New Jersey:

“I want to thank the members of the two committees and members of the public for their time and contributions to the legislative process.

“The release of both the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Expungement Aid Modernization Act and Jake Honig Compassionate Use Medical Cannabis Act represents an important step forward after months of internal deliberations among sponsors. We will continue working the bills towards passage to create a well-regulated and inclusive marijuana industry that is rooted in social and economic justice.”
