Speaker Coughlin Statement on September 11 Anniversary

(TRENTON) – Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin (D-Middlesex) issued the following statement Friday commemorating the 19th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks:
“Almost two decades later, it is still difficult to grasp the wickedness of the attacks on the morning of September 11, 2001.
“My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the families who lost loved ones on that fateful day.
“We should thank the heroic first responders who worked tirelessly at Ground Zero to save lives and remember those rescue workers who made the ultimate sacrifice.
“As we mark the 19th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks we should all pay our respects to the thousands lost and also remember the strength, unity and resolve of Americans across this nation in the days that followed.
            “May God bless America.”
