Assemblywoman Shanique Speight (D-Essex) released the following statement on the passing of Raymond R. Kimble, who served as mayor of Belleville for 12 years:
“Mayor Ray Kimble was a man driven by his love for his community. As a lifelong resident of Belleville, he never stopped working to help his neighbors and community as a whole.
“Ray will be remembered for his remarkable service as a mayor, township administer, police chief and friend. He will be missed by all in the Belleville community.”
