(TRENTON) – The Assembly on Thursday will vote on bills to adopt the state budget, override the governor’s veto of women’s health care funding, prohibit the sale of unsafe children’s mattresses, combat homelessness, help Superstorm Sandy victims facing aid overpayments, reform expungements, require transgender student guidelines for schools and require early retirement offers before layoffs for police and firefighters in Atlantic City.
Also on tap: health insurance information for newborn children, improving protections for developmentally disabled children, the High School to College Readiness Commission, the Gold Star Family Counseling Program, Property Taxpayer Bill of Rights and extending veterans’ property tax relief to those who served at the World Trade Center.
