*** TUESDAY ADVISORY *** ASSEMBLY BUDGET PANEL TO EXAMINE PROPERTY TAXES & COMMUNITY AFFAIRS SPENDING PLAN

(TRENTON) – The Assembly Budget Committee on Tuesday will convene a roundtable discussion on property taxes following last year’s hefty increase and review Gov. Chris Christie’s proposed spending plan for the Department of Community Affairs.
Under Gov. Chris Christie, property taxes increased 4.1 percent last year, the highest increase in four years. Christie has vetoed property tax reform measures and the administration has failed to submit fiscal details for most of its so-called reform proposals.
The roundtable is set for 10 a.m. The DCA hearing is set for 2 p.m.
Both hearings will in Committee Room 11 of the State House Annex.
