*** TUESDAY ADVISORY *** ASSEMBLY PANEL TO EXAMINE HIGHER EDUCATION BUDGET PLANS

(TRENTON) – The Assembly Budget Committee on Tuesday will review Gov. Chris Christie’s proposed plans for higher educational spending – first with a roundtable discussion with higher education leaders, followed by a discussion with administration higher educational officials.
The roundtable discussion is scheduled for 10 a.m.
Higher education officials from the administration will testify at 2 p.m.
Among those expected to attend are Rutgers President Richard L. McCormick, UMDNJ President William F. Owen Jr., The College of New Jersey President R. Barbara Gitenstein, Stockton College President Herman J. Saatkamp Jr., Passaic County Community College President Steven M. Rose, Georgian Court University President Sister Rosemary E. Jeffries, College of St. Elizabeth President Sister Francis Raftery and faculty and student representatives.
Both hearings will in Committee Room 11 of the State House Annex.
