Video: Caride on Her Bill to Prohibit High School Transcript Altering

Bill Stems from Paterson Eastside High School Questions

Assembly Education Chairwoman Marlene Caride (D-Passaic/Bergen) discusses her legislation to prohibit buying, selling, making or altering high school transcripts with the intent to deceive. The bill was advanced Monday by the Assembly Education Committee.

The bill (A-4860) was prompted by reports of improper student transcripts in the Paterson School District, where multiple basketball players at Eastside High School reportedly registered at the school with transcripts that were incomplete, altered or fraudulent.
