Video: McKeon on Christie Pilfering the Clean Energy Fund

(TRENTON) – Assemblyman John McKeon (D-Essex/Morris) discusses Gov. Christie’s raiding of Clean Energy Program funding.
McKeon’s comments came after the Assembly Budget Committee on Wednesday questioned Christie administration officials on the raids.
The intent of the Clean Energy Program is to promote a stronger economy, lessen pollution, lower utility costs and reduce demand for electricity, but the Christie administration has continuously redirected money from the Clean Energy Fund into the general budget. Since fiscal year 2010, about $1.5 billion has been diverted from the Clean Energy Fund.
