Video: Muoio Questions Christie Cuts to Women’s Health Care

Assemblywoman Elizabeth Maher Muoio (D-Mercer/Hunterdon) questions the Christie administration on Wednesday about its failure to support women’s health care.

New Jersey had a long standing budget line dedicating money to critical womens’ health care services. For instance, in 2009, women’s health care was funded at $7.4 million, but since Gov. Christie took office that money has been eliminated, despite Democratic efforts to restore it.
The cut has led to education programs being scrapped, staff hours reduced and even the closing of some women’s health clinics in the state.
