WATSON COLEMAN STATEMENT ON TRENTON CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL INCLUSION ON SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION LIST

(TRENTON) – Assemblywoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-Mercer/Hunterdon) on Wednesday released the following statement on the Christie administration including Trenton Central High School on its new list of school construction projects for 2012:

“I’m very pleased to see the administration finally take steps toward improving the unacceptable building conditions at Trenton Central High School. This decision is long overdue, but at least we finally appear to be moving toward progress.
“It’s now imperative for the School Development Authority and the Christie administration to move forward quickly and responsibly on this project. The first step involves a detailed description to the community on what exactly the plan is for the facility.
“The SDA and administration must also be open about this project and provide residents with specific and timely updates. Trenton students and their families have waited too long already for this project. I don’t want to see this progress bogged down in bureacracy. Let’s get it done.”
