Wilson Announces New Jersey Fresh Mobiles Launch

Assemblyman Wilson to launch the New Jersey Fresh Mobiles program in Camden

(CAMDEN) – On Wednesday Assemblyman Gilbert “Whip” Wilson will hold a press conference announcing the launch of the New Jersey Fresh Mobiles pilot in Camden. The Camden Children’s Garden will administer the program, which will bring Jersey Fresh produce to the residents of Camden via a mobile food truck with designated sites around the city.

Considered an urban “food desert,” Camden residents have limited access to fresh fruits and vegetables. Fifth District legislators have advanced initiatives such as the Jersey Fresh Mobiles and community garden programs, and supported bringing ShopRite to Admiral Wilson Boulevard in order to increase affordable nutritional options in the city.
