Assembly Budget Committee Vice-Chair Benjie Wimberly (D-Bergen, Passaic) issued the following statement on the passage of the FY2023 State budget:
“The FY2023 budget is a win-win for New Jersey. It provides much-needed property tax relief for both homeowners and renters through the Anchor Program.
“There’s substantial funding for the creation and repair of schools and a tax break on back-to-school items that will benefit parents and teachers preparing for the new school year. This budget puts working and middle-class families first. It will go a long way to help make New Jersey a more affordable place to live and work in.”
