Wimberly: Signage of "New Jersey Economic Opportunity Act of 2013" will Help Create Jobs, Boost NJ’s Sluggish Economy

(TRENTON) – Assemblyman Benjie E. Wimberly issued the following statement Wednesday after the job creation bill he sponsored – The New Jersey Economic Opportunity Act of 2013 – was signed into law.

The law (A-3680) will help boost New Jersey’s job creation efforts by revamping and streamlining the state’s economic development tax incentives.

“New Jersey lags in job creation and continues to have an unemployment rate that is higher than the national average. This law will streamline our existing laws to help lift our economy by attracting more businesses to the state and retaining the ones that are already here to create more jobs and keep the jobs we have, right here in New Jersey. Residents have been feeling the pinch for too long. This law will help create opportunities that will help us better compete against our neighboring states, and provide much needed relief to residents who have been struggling to make ends meet.”
