Wisniewski, Prieto & Riley Statements on Assembly Approving ‘New Jersey Medical and Health Sciences Education Restructuring Act’

(TRENTON)–Assembly Deputy Speaker John Wisniewski, Assembly Budget Chairman Vincent Prieto and Assembly Higher Education Chairwoman Celeste Riley released the following statements Thursday on the Assembly approving 60-18 the “New Jersey Medical and Health Sciences Education Restructuring Act” (A-3102) they sponsored:
Wisniewski (D-Middlesex):
“This legislation has been developed with constructive dialogue and will elevate educational opportunities for all New Jersey students, regardless of where they live. Providing New Jersey students with the reDests they need and deserve to pursue their dreams in New Jersey is the right thing to create a better future for our state. This is great progress for our state.”
Prieto (D-Hudson/Bergen):
“This represents substantial progress toward a plan that gives all our students world-class higher educational opportunities–regardless of region, county or ZIP code.
