(TRENTON) – Assemblyman John Wisniewski (D-Middlesex) issued the following statement today following the announcement that an agreement had been reached on the FY 2018 budget:
“I’m glad we have reached a resolution that represents the best interests of Horizon policyholders and New Jersey taxpayers. That’s what we have been fighting for all along: an equitable compromise that did not jeopardize the delivery of health care to New Jersey residents. No one wanted a shutdown, but sadly we have a governor who doesn’t care about consequences as long as they don’t affect him. It should have never reached this point, but I am proud we stood up with Speaker Prieto for the people of this state.
