Zwicker, Freiman to Hold Claims Clinic for Veterans

(SKILLMAN) – Assemblymen Andrew Zwicker and Roy Freiman along with the Department of Veteran Affairs are hosting a claims clinic for local veterans.

The clinic will be held on Tuesday, Mar. 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Hunterdon County Library, located at 214 NJ-12, Flemington, NJ 08822.

“Hosting these clinics for our veterans is the very least we can do to help those who have done so much for our country,” said Zwicker (D-Hunterdon/Mercer/Middlesex/Somerset). “This clinic provides veterans an opportunity to meet with claims experts from the Veterans’ Administration, learn about the benefits they deserve, file new claims or follow up on existing claims. It’s also a chance for our veterans to come together, meet or reconnect with others, and learn about community organizations that offer support in addition to claims processing.”

Veterans, service-members and dependents will be able to learn about benefits including compensation, pension, vocational rehabilitation and employment and education benefits.

“Veterans may not have this kind of information readily or easily available to them,” said Freiman (D-Hunterdon/Mercer/Middlesex/Somerset). “This clinic allows for one-on-one meetings with experts in an accessible location to learn more about the benefits they have earned.”
