Zwicker ‘Relay for Life’ Team to Join Fight Against Cancer

Assemblyman Andrew Zwicker is proud to announce that he is organizing a team for the upcoming Relay for Life walk to be held at Raritan Valley Community College.

The walk will take place on Saturday, April 16 from 6 p.m. to midnight in the courtyard on the college’s main campus, located at 118 Lamington Road, Branchburg, NJ 08876.

“I hope that you will consider joining or donating to our Relay for Life team,” said Zwicker (D-Hunterdon/Mercer/Middlesex/Somerset). “Relay for Life encourages our community to rally around those who need our support. Together, we can help the American Cancer Society make meaningful progress in the fight against cancer.”

Relay for Life teams will set up camps around the college track, with at least one member of each team walking at all times. In addition, cancer survivors and caregivers will be honored with a “survivor lap,” which traditionally starts each Relay for Life event. The event also will include food, music, games and prizes. Participants are encouraged to seek out sponsorships on a per-lap or flat rate basis.

To join Zwicker’s team, or to make a donation, please visit the team’s website. For more information, please contact Zwicker’s district office at 609-454-3147.

An American Cancer Society initiative, Relay for Life is a community fundraising walk aimed at celebrating cancer survivors and their caregivers, remembering those who lost their lives to cancer and promoting cancer research.
