Assembly to Vote on Medical Marijuana Relief for Children, Tracking Abandoned & Seized Firearms, NJ Economic Opportunity Act of 2013

The General Assembly will be in session on Monday to consider a number of bills, including several that would incorporate recommendations made by Gov. Christie in recent conditional vetoes, sending them on their way towards final approval.

The session is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 13, 2013, in the Assembly Chambers of the Statehouse.

The agenda currently includes concurrence with the governor’s recommendations on legislation sponsored by Assembly Democrats Linda Stender and Reed Gusciora to help ease access to New Jersey’s medical marijuana program for children suffering from debilitating illnesses; as well as the consideration of anticipated recommendations to be made by the Governor on legislation sponsored by Assemblymen Charles Mainor and Tim Eustace to help track abandoned and seized firearms and legislation sponsored by Assemblyman Albert Coutinho known as the NJ Economic Opportunity Act of 2013.
